“Central Axis Adventure” Board Game School Workshop

This workshop will take participants on an adventure to explore the significance of the UNESCO World Heritage—Beijing Central Axis. Students will step into the shoes of a town planner, to discover the wisdom and culture of traditional Chinese architecture through this original board game.

What students will get from this workshop:

• Learn from Play: Decorate and play an original board game incorporating elements of traditional Chinese culture.
• Discover History: Gain an understanding of the intricate Chinese town planning and the sense of harmony conveyed through aesthetics of symmetry.
• Get Creative: Work together in groups to design characters with playful imagination and explore significant palaces and buildings along Central Axis on the board game.

Hong Kong primary and secondary schools are welcome to register as groups. Please note that quota is limited, and registration will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Each workshop session is designed for 90–120 participants. Priority will be given to school groups whose registration meets this capacity requirement.
