“HKPM Jockey Club Education Programme: Architecture Unfolded” |“Central Axis Adventure” Original Board Game Family Workshop

Step into the shoes of a town planner with your children, and explore the significance of the UNESCO World Heritage—Beijing Central Axis through an original board game. The workshop incorporates its north-to-south architectural feature into a board game design. Blending creativity with playful elements, it invites children to discover traditional Chinese architecture and culture in an interactive way. Participants can also explore the finest collection and treasures in the museum’s thematic exhibitions after the workshop for free.

What you and your children will get from this workshop:

  • Learn from Play: Decorate and play an original board game incorporating elements of traditional Chinese culture. Discover the intricate town planning and the sense of harmony conveyed through aesthetics of symmetry, all while having fun.
  • Get Creative: Work together with your children to design characters with playful imagination. Expand children’s sense of wonder and creativity through exploring significant palaces and buildings along Central Axis on the board game!
